Actually, i've got this inspiration from cooking activity in the kitchen. In weekend, usually i always spend my time in the kitchen to cook. Well, although i'm not the worldwide chef, but actually it's enjoyable enough to eat your own dishes. I always cook typical of rice dishes such as fried rice, or yellow rice... always related with rice. There's several ingredients that i used for cooking fried rice: for example chili, egg, corned beef, oil, sausage, meat ball, etc. Do you know that suddenly i have a story how the team work is look like?

Yes, there's so much ingredient there... with lots of characteristic. Chili... it's hot, represent a person who always strict, extrovert, and always to the point. Sometimes we hate this kind of person, but we needed this 'madman' person to give team a taste. There's also an egg person, a person who also give a taste but we will not know him/her until we break the outer skin of egg and bring the inner egg out. It represent they who looks like can't, but if we give him/her a pressure, they will give you a potential. Useful to contribute at your team. There's also an oil, you see, if we give oil a heat, it will react faster than the other. This is the typical of reactionary person. Once you give them a heat, they will getting hot too. Sometimes, this person was not the one who patience enough and often too act reactionary... but this also the type who fast enough to accept the job once they are asked to do some job. There's also corned beef, sausage, and meat ball. Different shape but actually they are who give a delicious taste of the team work. And the last there are the type of the rice person. At the first time, they do not know nothing, but in the further processes, they learn much from the others, and so, they became a delicious or more experienced than ever.

Ok, now, who is the leader? The leader is the one who smart enough to see a strength and weakness from the other team. He/she not only judging based on their weakness, but more to know how to combine their strength and how to make other's strength to balancing other's weaknesses. And so, the leader is the one who have the vision.... He/she is not the one who have scattered minds, only see the person from it's individual form... but have the vision how is the combination of his/her team. So, the leader in this analogy is the one who cook and make the dishes itself. So, he/she know exactly how to make a delicious dream by combining his/her team strength and weaknesses.

Too many leader nowadays only think about themselves and doesn't aware about other people. The result is rebellion and chaos because their team feel that they are not useful. But, if the leader know exactly... have a full picture from every pieces of puzzle.. then he/she successful to fulfill not only his/her dream, but also the dream of all the team.

Do not only the hot of the chili. Do not only see a hard skin of the egg. Do not only see the reactionary of the oil. Do not only see the meat taste without combining it further. Do not only see the emptiness taste of the rice. But see their characteristic to build a better vision, a better dream.... and a deliciousness of the victory of your team.

Well, in the end, i've finished my cook activity already. Hmmmm.... the fried rice that i've made was taste so good.... oh GOD, now i really hungry... and after write this blog post... i paln to really cook the fried rice. Today, i find an inspiration by browsing child's picture. I always interesting about anything that related to family and children. Why? Because i think that a good and successful family will determine our future. When i browse into the picture of the children, i realize how precious they are for us. If we look them in business sight, they are the greatest asset ever among other asset. Not only that, we can also learn from them, because sometimes, they have several character that we, adult have lost it in the past years from the day we were born.

Many business guru said that, human is an asset. That was true. More important asset is a child. A child is just like a clear and white paper, which we can write down or draw anything to form their character. If we teach all good things to the children since they were still young, we can expect a great result when they getting mature. On the contrary, if we teach all bad things, we also can expect that they will become 'bad guys' in the future.

We also can learn many things from the children. Sometimes, we are too proud to announce ourself 'knows everything' than the children. In fact, there are several characters and morals that we also must learn again from the children (since we forgot the basic things when we started to grow up)

1. A child is an opened minded. We can teach everything to them... that's why we called them innocent. As you know, children absorb information better than the adult because of their open minded character like this. If we learn something new, we should be open minded, but if we want to test something, we should use our principal to test it, not on the contrary. Let's learn this open minded character from them.

2. They always have total dependency. Total dependency, because they know they're weak and can't do nothing without their parents. We also should know, that we.. a human, need our GOD in everything we do. Yes... since we are a creation, not a Creator, why don't you ask your Creator if you confused in your life? Our power, intelligence and our capacity has a limit. Religious people often say to pray whenever you have a trouble, just like a children that cry for help from their parents. Even we have everything (success, achievement, etc), or whenever we are in the middle of the failing moment, just remember to be religious whatever your religion is. A good quality faith will determine a good quality life.

3. Active, enthusiasm. When i was a teacher in the past 2 years, i remember that i enjoy to teach children in some class that known as 'rebel, bandit, naughty, etc'. Actually, they need an activity, not only sitting and hear their teacher tell some story. They need games, they want to play, and in many ways, i have found some effectiveness to teach in games. They are very enthusiast, and want to know more. To learn something, sometimes, we need 'a games'. I am sure, they ... who expert in blogging or in business, think that it such a game for them, and they were curious to improve it, because it challenging. A challenge, games, enthusiasm.... We still need these keywords to improve whatever our work is.

4. They are honest. A child is the one that can't never to lie, both to the others and to themselves. Think about it, sometimes we made a lie even to ourself. Yeah.. just like example, it's hard to be honest to express your love to someone that you love them, therefore you said what you don't want to say and makes it complicated. Now, take a look at a child. Whenever they feel happy, they just laugh. Whenever they sad, they just crying. And whenever they want to express 'i love you' to their parents, they just said it. A good example for us to follow. They make everything simpler because of their honesty. We should observe their honesty, and start to learn it from them.

5. The last, but not least, they are pure. I am sure that there's no children that have a bad intention in their heart. They are always have a pure heart, good intention an also want to do a good things for others. This should be the difficult example for us, because, we as an adult always have a various intention to do something. If the children wants to do something, it because that it's fun and they love to do it. Basically, it's fun to do something that we enjoy. The children always do it with clear intention and not mixed with anything. In adult world, we called it "Integrity"

Now, it's clear enough why children are the best asset ever created in this world. They are our future and our hope. I am really sad if there are parents that don't know how valuable their child is. Divorce, sexual harassment, even abortion, these actions were basically actions that destroy children and actually it also destroy our own future. For parents, you should be grateful of your child or your baby presence. They are your best gift ever, so keep it and grow your children well. Our future depends on them, and let's make a good future together by doing a simple action: Grow our children well and give them love so that they will be a honorable mankind in the future.

Every body that makes a blog always has a motivation and purpose to do that. I also have motivation to makes this motivation blog. My purposes are:

1. Documenting all the things that motivate me. There’s always some thing that… if you want to observe… will give you an inspiration. This inspiration that will motivate you and will help you to live your daily life.

2. Give others inspiration and motivation. Who knows, maybe there’s a people that need something that will make them feel ‘fresh’ by read my post.

3. Makes people enjoy and comfortable by reading my post.

4. Share what I know to other people. Sometimes, I know what people don’t know, and people know what I don’t know. A good place to share each other. When people visit my site, I also can visit their site too.

5. Practice my daily observation. Somehow, if you live your life with high consciousness, you will find that there’s a life that makes your life livelier and that will make you always grateful for all that GOD has given to us.

6. Wants to sharpen my writing skills. Since writing is my new hobby, I want to practice it by write anything in my mind and make it readable to others.

7. Practice my English grammar, since my mother language actually is not English, but I want to keep the grammar sharper by write something that across my mind.

8. Practice to write in a different topic. Somehow, it will train my brain to keep fresh and also motivate me to keep learn.

9. Enjoy and feel how fun to write something is. Yes, all this time, I have found how fun to write is.

10. At least but not last, my purpose to blogging is to make a light in this world. Like my friend said “It’s better to light a single candle than to curse a whole darkness.” Well, I like that statement. A small thing that we do is far more important than do nothing.

Imagine that in this time, you walk on the seashore. Feel the nice wind around you, and enjoy the sparkling of the sunshine day. Then, you see at the sea, a deep blue ocean sea. Take a look carefully at that blue ocean with the sound of the wave and with the winds that blows it into the rock. Take a look carefully that blue ocean, is it beautiful? With the sparkling of the sunshine in its surface that makes the surface more sparkling and cleaner?

It's the most suitable object that I want to share to you about 5 characteristic of the openness style. If you want to be open into the new thing and the new perspective, I think you should follow the example of the ocean. There's 5 characteristic of the openness that I want to make it short with this object and word: OCEAN

The word OCEAN was stand for as follow:
1. Openness to a new experience. Sometimes, we as a human being always learn from other wise man experience. Like example, if we have the parents that success in their career as an employee, we learn that being a worker is a successful thing to choose. But, time has changed, this time, every worker have their own problem in their working environment. When the time was still in industrial revolution, being an employee will have a guarantee of career ahead, but in this time, the era was different and sometimes we can't rely only for our work. We sometimes must seek for another opportunity and therefore, this is the skill that our parents never teach us. We must open into the new experience, like the wise man said "The only thing that certain in this world is uncertainty", therefore, we must improve our adaptation skills in this time. If we remain use the old paradigm, we will not going to survive.

2. Consciousness. This means that we must always improve our consciousness among other people. We must understand what we see, we must understand what we hear, we must understand what we say, we must understand what we feel, and we must also understand what life that we lived everyday now. Yes, that was called consciousness. You must understand and know exactly what kind of life that you lived know. There are two kind of life based on Greek word: Bios and Zoë. Bios is an ordinary life (eat, sleep, work, etc) while Zoë is the meaningful life (a life that really life). We must know our exact meaning of life, and for other people, they have their different meaning. It's better to spend most of our time to know our purpose in this world than to ignore it and live in a wasteful life until we die.

3. Extrovert. This doesn't mean in negative word, but this means that we must welcome a new people surround us. Well, although this means that we will meet all kind of the people from nice one into the evil one, from comforting people until 'pain in the ass' person. Whatever their characteristic is, we like it or not, we should know them and make a relationship with them. Human can be changed. Who knows that the one that we think evil can turn into the good one, and who knows the one that you think he/she nice can stab on your back.

4. Agreeableness. Which means not easy to make a conflict. This word doesn't mean a compromise but it show that you won't arguing with other people if it's not necessary. We must stand in our principal, but we also must have a respect if others have a different principal with us. Don't arguing but share your opinion each other. This kind of act will make you smarter because you learn from others and the others learn also from you.

5. Neuroticism. It means openness from pressure. If you fight that pressure, you will be broken, but if you follow within the pressure, you will win against that pressure. That's what I mean with openness from every pressure. In business, in family, and in our working place, we always have our own pressure. The ocean always flows where the winds blow and it never break its form. On the contrary, every one of us always amazed how beautiful the way of the ocean fit each other with others nature form.

These 5 characteristic was basically the kind of the openness characteristic that me and you should have in our daily life. If you forget about these 5 characteristic, then just go to the sea shore and take a look for the beautiful blue ocean there. This is the story about what usually happen in workplace. In one time, there's a young man named Tyler (Ty). In his daily days, he works as an administration assistant (admin), he works for a lot work to provide any bureaucracy and administration matters for many projects. Well, as 'in the middle' person, he has to facilitate between operation division and program division. In Program's side, they need for all administration matters getting in a quick process, meanwhile the operation division needs to make an accountable procedure for many project to prevent any corruption dealing. This is when the burden and the struggle for Tyler has started.

His boss in program division, Sandy, is an ambitious person. He wants everything proceed fast, because he also has many schedule to go in his program. But, in the other side, Morgan, the operation division boss is also a 'mad' person. He didn't want everything proceed unless every single procedure was completed, and this makes all the process takes time. When Ty try to explain to his boss about all the procedure, Sandy really upset and angry to Ty and then order Try to make all the process faster whatever the way is. But, when Ty try to deal with Morgan, Morgan also yelling at Ty why he can't do all the procedure in the order. All the pressure in both side makes Ty actually really confuse. He said to himself " Why they mad at me?"At that time, Ty loose his motivation to work. He fell as he is the victim, helpless, and can do nothing because of these top management.

Ty now angry, Ty now really mad. He almost quit for his current job. In his despair, he walk in some afternoon days to a workshop. He plan to repair his motorcycle into the closest workshop in his neighborhood. Suddenly, he have some inspiration that could change his motivation to work at that time. He looks closely how the repairman work to repair his motorcycle. The repairman take a sandpaper to clean all his motorcycle components one by one. After a while, the sandpaper become soft and not rough anymore, while the motorcycle components, one by one become clean and free from rust. Each components of Ty's motorcycle now installed. Every clean components made Ty's motorcycle looks and feel 'fresh' and ready to take an action.

This events makes Ty think: "Those bosses are like this sandpapers, they are rough but in a time, they will become soft and can do nothing again. While me... just like this rusty components. Their act will improve my character so that i will become more patience and more grew up." That time, Ty decide to hang on a little bit to prove this inspiration. And how about the rest? Both Sandy and Morgan still do the same... but not with Ty, he has been changed. Now he can smile and now he more patience unlike yesterday. He still do the same: administration and bureaucracy matters, but now he do those with the best he can do, although Sandy and Morgan still 'push' him, but now Ty can accept their behave. Day by day... Ty became improved. His character now improved. Now, he realize that he become the patience person ever and he can face all of the pressure that he receive.

How about Sandy and Morgan, His bosses? It seems that they are become act softer to Ty. They confess that Ty is the strong person and able to do many task in difficult situation. Now, they even became Ty's friend, not act like boss anymore. Yeah.. seems those two 'madman' lost their energy to yelling to Ty, but now Ty have much improvements in his character and in his hearts. Now, Ty is the one who have a lot of energy to do many difficult task. In the end, he promoted to become manager.

Well, this is the real story that i have in my work place, it actually talk about many situation that always hard for us. Many pressure from top to the bottom, from left to the right, but in the end, they who pressure us will lose their energy. This what i call about the sandpaper. Sandpaper has a rough texture, and when it scratch you, it hurts at the beginning. But, if you follow the flow, they will lose their rough texture soon or later, meanwhile your texture will become softer and good to look at. Your texture maybe is a character, your heart, or many things inside you. So, from this sandpaper analogy, we could say that we must keep our perseverance in our workplace while we still have to do our job with all of our best effort. If we can do the best thing in the beginning, we will have the best thing also in the end.
